This antique carousel horse, circa 1925, was made by the Allan Herschell carousel factory in North Tonawanda, NY.
The horse is in a jumping pose with a tucked head and deeply carved mane. The two blankets under the saddle are bordered with jewels and the head has a jeweled bridle. The horse has been fitted with metal shoes and still has its metal bit and stirrup hangers. It is in good condition, no missing parts, stripped of paint and a natural wood stain.
All defects and details are clearly seen in the images. Currently it resides in West Des Moines, Iowa.
