This is a full size carousel rocking horse made from solid wood with wooden base, rockers, brass pole and jewels, likely in 1989.
Made by S&S Woodcarvers of Santa Anna, CA. This design is Diana's Large Carousel Horse On Rockers.
The rockers have minor marks from normal use. There are no missing jewels; all details are clearly visible in the images. This rocking horse is in very good condition!
It takes up residence near Sacramento, CA.
"This colorful conversation starter has been a centerpiece in our home for over 30 years. Generations of kids in our family and of friends have been photographed astride this whimsical piece, and it's been a highlight for every birthday party for kids of all ages. It does bear the inscription behind the saddle 'DONNA,' as it was a gift to my mom from my dad. (They are divorced and my mom would often remark over the years about how he put her name on the horse's ass :)."
